Creality Ender-3 S1 Pro with Sprite Full Metal|300°C High-Temp
The setup was insanely quick and was only around 8 steps, taking 15 minutes to assemble and then around 5 to boot up and calibrate.
I have not done a single mod other than connect Octoprint and the prints have been coming out extremely reliably and pretty high quality. I should also add that I'm using year old filament (PLA and PETG) and have had no issues with adhesion.
My only problem with this printer is that the fans are a bit loud, at least to have near you. Another issue I have is the touchscreen not having a button option. I think the touchscreen is cool, but there is third party firmware available for the Ender 3 S1 that is not fully compatible with this printer as it opts for the touchscreen instead.
If you plan on getting this and have Facebook, I recommend checking out the Ender 3 S1/S1 Pro groups on there as there is more resources/help available for this printer if you do run into issues.
This is my first 3D printer. It was easy to builld it. I had to do some tries to find the good temperature of extruder and bed. Once I found them, results are perfect.
Not much of a review really, because I am a total noob to 3D printing and so far only printed 2 small items. But I managed to get the printer assembled (thanks to some YouTube videos I found), and also managed to print one of my self designed items (used Trimble Sketchup and Cura for software).
It all works as advertised, although some of my minor problems involved
- getting the PLA wire through the top filament feeder (cutting the end in a sharp point helped)
- cleaning the heated magnetic bed mat after my first print (really thin PLA layers remained stuck on it)
- untangling the wires AFTER I assembled the printer. Had to take the horizontal beam with printhead assemble off again in order to lead the electric wires in a better way
I somehow missed the fact that the user manual was included on the tiny SD card that I found in a plastic bag (I thought it was only there to save my projects on).
Overal documentation could be somewhat improved for a noob like me, but fortunately I did some research before unboxing the printer.
Overall I am very happy with it, and can now embark on improving my home cockpit project !
I bought this CR-touch to replace my old BL-Touch on my Ender3 Pro. The Old BL-touch had a plastic needle because I mainly print A.B.S. and other High-Temperature materials. My printer is modified with an All-Metal Volcano direct extruder and uses a Modified Jyser Firmware. It can go up to 300 degrees Celsius. The Metal Pin definitely helps in a High Temp environment, because my ABS build plate has to be at 105-110, and during long prints, my Ambient is around 45-50 degrees Celsius. The CR-Touch’s casing feels stronger and the build quality definitely feels more heavy duty than the old BL-Touch. The Metal Pin is stronger than the old plastic pin.
Highly recommend it. In my opinion also looks much better than the bl touch and the componentes seems to be of higher quality.
First of all, at 192 x 120 x 200 mm, the Creality Halot-Sky offers a pretty good size for a 3D resin printer that wants to play in the big leagues.
For the 1st print, here is a small figure, I had initially created the file in the Creality slicer, but as I couldn’t add the supports as I wanted, I opted for an STL file generation with support exported in Prusa Slicer, then reimported directly on the Creality software. I also get a very good rendering, with a good level of detail, this model was printed with an exposure time of 3sec per layer (the default value of the machine).
I was expecting some problems, but in the end, there were no problems at all.
