The setup was insanely quick and was only around 8 steps, taking 15 minutes to assemble and then around 5 to boot up and calibrate.
I have not done a single mod other than connect Octoprint and the prints have been coming out extremely reliably and pretty high quality. I should also add that I'm using year old filament (PLA and PETG) and have had no issues with adhesion.
My only problem with this printer is that the fans are a bit loud, at least to have near you. Another issue I have is the touchscreen not having a button option. I think the touchscreen is cool, but there is third party firmware available for the Ender 3 S1 that is not fully compatible with this printer as it opts for the touchscreen instead.
If you plan on getting this and have Facebook, I recommend checking out the Ender 3 S1/S1 Pro groups on there as there is more resources/help available for this printer if you do run into issues.
Not only a great product but great customer service and fast delivery
It was a pleasure doing business with you
I’ve been using my sky for months and it is the best resin printer I’ve used. Top quality parts and the software just keeps getting better! This is an amazing printer
Quick and easy. Thank you. Everything is working great now
Quality - Remember, the resolution is relative to pixel density. Well, this is a 2k screen at 6 inches, giving a resolution of 2560 x 1620 pixels. That's going to be more than enough for the vast majority of users. Beyond this, it is not plagued with aliasing issues as much as other brand models. Anti-Aliasing works quite well with the Harlot One, as well. Check the video I posted as well as pics. Aliasing is minimal, with details looking great. 2.2-2.4 seconds seemed the sweet spot for quality and consistency of success with basic resins. "Fast" resins allowed even lower exposure times.
This flex build plate is basically a no-brainer upgrade. It makes removing prints super easy and the spring steel has maintained its shape. I did scuff the surface up a bit more with 400 grit sandpaper and have yet to see any adhesion issues. Highly recommended!
First of all, at 192 x 120 x 200 mm, the Creality Halot-Sky offers a pretty good size for a 3D resin printer that wants to play in the big leagues.
For the 1st print, here is a small figure, I had initially created the file in the Creality slicer, but as I couldn’t add the supports as I wanted, I opted for an STL file generation with support exported in Prusa Slicer, then reimported directly on the Creality software. I also get a very good rendering, with a good level of detail, this model was printed with an exposure time of 3sec per layer (the default value of the machine).
I was expecting some problems, but in the end, there were no problems at all.
I have an Ender 3 Pro with a stock Bowden tube, I was admittedly nervous when I first opened the package and felt how soft the filament was. This was the second roll of filament I've ever purchased and my first flexible material; one of the reasons I picked this 500g roll was so that I could test it out without too big a commitment.
I am pleased to report that I printed successfully with this TPU right out of the box using mostly default settings with Cura's generic TPU profile. Despite all the complaints and warnings about how difficult TPU can be, I had zero issues.
I have unboxed and set up the printer and printed the test print. Without any adjustments to the leveling, the test print printed perfectly. I am now using the included Chitubox slicer to print other prints but I don't expect any problems.
